Privacy Policy

This policy describes what It's A Clip (SOCIAL MEDIA ENT LLC) collects and how it's used. Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the service, we don't sell your data, and your platform passwords never touch our systems.

1. What we collect

• Account: your email address (used for magic-link sign-in) and your plan/allowance state.
• Usage: the video links you submit, the clips produced for you, and job status/history.
• Payments: handled entirely by our payment processor — we never see or store your card number. We keep the order reference and what tier it bought.
• Connected social accounts: when you connect TikTok/Instagram/YouTube, you authorize the platform directly through its own consent screen via our publishing infrastructure partner. We store the connection status — never your platform passwords.
• Technical: standard logs (IP, user-agent) for security and abuse prevention, retained briefly.

2. What we use it for

Running the service: signing you in, processing your videos, delivering and posting clips, metering your allowance, preventing abuse, and sending transactional email (sign-in links, receipts). No third-party advertising, no data sales, no profiling beyond your own account.

AI training. Your videos and clips are never used to train AI models. The rules our system uses to pick moments are built from a curated set of historical data and newer data from selected accounts — not from customer uploads or the public.

3. Who processes it

We use a small number of service providers, each only for the job below and bound to protect your data. We don’t list them by name, but we’ll tell you who they are if you ask.

• Hosting and content delivery — runs the site and stores and delivers your clips.
• Payment processing — takes your payments. We never see your card number.
• Transactional email — delivers sign-in links, receipts and job notices.
• Social posting infrastructure — publishes to the accounts you connect. Each connection goes through that platform’s own sign-in; we never see your social passwords.
• AI model providers — analyse transcripts and write captions. They don’t train on your content.
• On-demand compute for video processing — processes your submitted video for the duration of a job, then the machine is shut down.
• Sign-in providers — Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.

We don’t use third-party analytics or advertising tools.

4. Retention & deletion

We keep what you need to use It’s A Clip, and nothing longer. Source videos are deleted within 7 days, job records expire after 7 days, and your clips are kept while your account exists. You can delete your account anytime from your Account page: it’s deactivated for 30 days — sign in and restore it if you change your mind — then your account, clips and schedules are permanently erased. 5. Cookies

One session cookie to keep you signed in, and one short-lived first-party cookie so a visit is only counted once a day (it holds no personal data). No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. California, EU), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Email us and we'll honor them.
