Getting started

What is It's A Clip?
Paste a video link or upload a file, and It's A Clip turns it into vertical clips with hooks and captions written for each platform. Download them, post them, or schedule them.
Which videos can I clip?
YouTube, Kick and Twitch links, or a video file you upload.
How long does it take?
It depends on the length of the video. We email you when your clips are ready, and they appear in your dashboard.
Is there a free clip?
Yes. Every new account gets 1 free clip from a video up to 24 hours long.
How are moments chosen?
Every pick is scored against rules built from performance data on over a billion views of short-form posts.
What is Watch Dog?
Watch Dog follows the creators you choose and pings you when they post or go live.
How do you count views?
The top 20 posts on our homepage are tied to our own posting records, with views checked on each platform. Across clips made with It's A Clip, verified views total 15.5M+.

Plans & billing

What plans are there?
Free is $0 for 1 clip from a video up to 24 hours. Starter is $15/month for 40 clips and 300 hours of footage. Creator is $29/month for 120 clips and 600 hours. Studio is $79/month for 400 clips and 1,500 hours.
Do unused clips roll over?
Yes. Unused clips roll over, up to 2× your monthly allowance.
What are footage hours?
The total length of source video you can submit each month. A 3-hour stream uses 3 hours.
How do renewal and cancelling work?
Paid plans renew monthly. Cancel anytime from your Account page; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you aren't charged again.
Do you offer refunds?
Failed jobs never cost you clips. Subscription payments aren't refunded, and you can cancel anytime.
Do paid plans get priority?
When downloads are busy, paid plans go first: Studio, then Creator, Starter and Free. Nobody waits more than about 20 minutes because of priority.

Posting

Which platforms can I post to?
TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook Pages, X, Threads, Bluesky and LinkedIn, through accounts you connect yourself.
Do I need an Upload-Post account?
To post automatically, yes. You connect your own Upload-Post account, which links your social accounts. Upload-Post has a free tier, and its paid plans start at about $25/month. You can always download clips without one.
Can I schedule posts?
Yes. Post a clip right away or schedule it for later.
Can I post to a Facebook Page?
Yes. After you connect Facebook, choose the Page your clips go to on the Auto-posting page.

Your data & privacy

Do you train AI on my videos?
No. Your videos and clips are never used to train AI models. The rules that pick moments are built from a curated set of historical data and newer data from selected accounts, not from customer uploads or the public.
How long do you keep my files?
Source videos are deleted within 7 days, and job records expire after 7 days. Your clips are kept while your account exists.
How do I delete my account?
From your Account page. Your account is deactivated for 30 days, and signing in restores it. After that, it's permanently erased.
Do you see my card number?
No. Payments go through our payment processor, and we never see your card number.
Do you see my social media passwords?
No. Each account connects through the platform's own sign-in. We never see your passwords.
